Boxing Match Drinks – Rum Milkshakes, Margaritas, and Beer
As you’ve hopefully read over at I Blog What I Eat, I’ve been working together with my friends at Linwood Liquors to set up this new site that will focus on drinking rather than eating. There will be a few new writers, in addition to myself, for this blog, and I’ll introduce them to you as soon as they’re ready. Hopefully Eric will agree to write a post every now and again as well, as his vodka watermelon post is actually the most popular post on my other site.
Right, so if you didn’t come from my Hot Wings, Guacamole, Summer Rolls, and Dog Soup post at I Blog What I Eat, I suppose that the title and pictures below might be a bit confusing. The mix of drinks below are the result of us not know what to serve at a boxing match watching party. I’ll try to break down the drinks that were available that night to the best of my ability:
Beer – Corona, Kingfisher, Heineken Light, Negro Modelo, Magic Hat Circus Boy
Margaritas – 2 parts tequila (Herradura silver or anejo), 1 part Cointreau, 2 part freshly squeezed lime juice (we squeezed about 50 limes)
Rum Milkshakes – 1 half-gallon carton of Breyers ice cream, 1/4 bottle of 10 Cane Rum, and 1/8 carton of organic milk found in the back of a refrigerator
Random questions that I will ask so that readers will interact with this terrific new website:
I know there are a lot of different ways to mix margaritas, how do our ratios look to you? Do you salt your margarita glass? How many gallons of ice cream do you put in your rum milkshake? Lastly, are there better beers to serve for a boxing match?
